At Last - a clear path to telling your story well
So, about that personal story you've been wishing you knew how to tell.
Whether you dream of sharing your story out loud or written in a blog post, a book, a personal essay, or a few printed copies for your friends or family, this course can help you get started.
Imagine having your story told - finally!
You have before you 2 pathways toward achieving that goal:
WYOS - A Course Within Community
the 6-week course with live cohort-teacher interactions
OR
WYOS - the Self-Paced Course
including the same 6 modules on your own schedule
"Write Your Own Story" course will help you reach your goal
Write Your Own Story (WYOS) will give you a foundation on which to build the story you’ve been wanting to tell. When you finish this course, you will understand:
- Who your ideal readers are and why that matters
- How to organize the scenes of your story
- When you’re truly ready to tell it
- What readers need to know most—and what they don’t
- Why telling your story can make a positive impact on the hearts and minds of your readers
But it takes more than understanding concepts to tell your story.
That’s why during this course you will actually start writing your own story.
Here's what you will receive as a student in WYOS:
Six content-rich modules consisting of both video trainings as well as printable worksheets to help you process and use what you're learning right away.
Modules cover these topics:
- Welcome to your Writing Adventure - getting started
- The Cosmic Story Structure and You - a universal framework as unique as you are.
- Writing about Trauma - self-care, choosing scenes, reader care
- Writing and Re-writing - tips for getting the work done
- Beyond Writing - editing and publishing pathways
- Conclusion and Celebration

Meet Your WYOS Instructor, Karen Ingle
As a freelance writer and editor, ghostwriter, and journalist, Karen Ingle naturally gravitates to people with stories worth telling. She knows the challenges of turning personal experiences into writing that readers find as stirring as the writers do.
Countless people have scooted their chairs closer to Karen, dropped their voices, and asked, “May I tell you my story?” So she knows we want our stories to be heard. But most people don’t know where to begin.
Now, Karen is leveraging her teaching experience (at elementary, secondary, and college levels) to help aspiring writers learn to tell the important stories on their hearts.
